Club grounds - including the picnic shelter, the land it sets on and the docks, all located in West Sound - are for use by Club members and their guests, reciprocal guests, and other community oriented groups as prearranged with the OIYC.

Restrictions set forth by our Conditional Use Permit from the County require that no outdoor activities take place after 10:00 pm and that there be no rental of our Club facilities. The acting Commodore of the OIYC (or a board member as designated by the Commodore), when determining the appropriate use of Club facilities, should take a balanced view, which includes the needs of the prospective user, the terms of the Conditional Use Permit, and the sensitivities of the neighbors, and the possible wear and tear on the structures.

Applications for use of grounds or picnic shelter must be made to the Commodore and a written contract will be required for a group of more than 25.

• Applicants are expected to leave facilities at least as clean as found, and to remove their garbage. A cleanup deposit may be required.
  
• Members who fail to comply will be sent clean-up bills, and may be restricted in future use.
  
• There is parking for Club functions and member's private groups. West Sound Community Hall renters may park by pre-arrangement.
  

The Dock is for the use of OIYC members, their guests and members of reciprocal clubs. Dock rules are posted.

• The YELLOW ZONE on the east side of the OIYC dock may be used by reciprocals when no OIYC members are present. Reciprocals on the yellow zone must yield to any OIYC member.
  
• Appropriate rafting is expected.
  
• The entire dock is reserved for OIYC members for Opening Day, the first weekend in May and for the Round-the-County Race participants, the second weekend of November.
  
• Boats should be identified by an OIYC burgee, a reciprocal club burgee or an OIYC member's name in a portal.
  
• Each moorage should be limited to two days.
  
• Bathrooms will provide hot water during the boating season with an honor system collection box for $1 per shower. The bathroom hallway will be under combination lock during the boating season.
